Resilience is a big word these days. I did a bit of research to see what kinds of solutions are being marketed to companies who are struggling with employee retention and burnout, and do you know what I found? A lot of wellness apps, surveys and training programs to help employees deal with stress at work.
But resilience is not just telling individuals to meditate more while working in an unsustainable environment. Resilience is not pushing through and refusing to give up. It’s letting go of the ways of working that are harming us and being open to embrace change.
In this talk, I will share some stories and strategies for building collective resilience on tech teams in a post-pandemic world.
