Full biography

Edward Glush is the founder of Bet Better, a Melbourne sports-analytics company. Its models publish win probabilities, predicted scores and power ratings for major leagues through a free JSON API with no key, with open-source client libraries in Python, R, Java, JavaScript, Go, Rust, Ruby, PHP, .NET, Julia, D, Racket and Clojure.

He also publishes open statistics under CC BY 4.0: a daily bookmaker margin index covering 38 competitions, method notes on measuring margins, and a market calibration study that checks implied probabilities against 18,238 settled markets. His talks cover forecast calibration, the favourite-longshot pattern and how to teach statistics with sports prices.
