Mia (they/them) is the Technical Community Builder at Camunda, where they work to improve the contributor experience and open source ecosystem. Before joining Camunda, Mia worked in developer relations at New Relic and IBM, and has a background in content creation, marketing, and community management.
They are enthusiastic about good storytelling in digital media. In their free time, Mia enjoys video games, amateur gardening, and finding good vegan food. You can find them on Twitter, Twitch, or Instagram as xoMiaMoore.
Looking for ways to contribute to our community and hone your skills along the way? There are plenty of ways to get involved, including the Camunda Community Hub, codebase and documentation contributions, our meet-up program and public speaking opportunities. Mia will discuss ideas on how to use your skills and apply them to new areas so that you will leave the workshop with a solid plan of action for your next contribution to the community.
(Note: Unfortunately, I did not present at Camunda Community Summit due to last-minute issues, but I created the workshop and trained Nathan Loding to give it in my place.)
