Platforms and Landing Challenges

A presentation at Doodle Jump in in New York, NY, USA by Constance Gamble

Platforms are the foundation of every doodle jump run. The Doodler must land on them to continue climbing, so understanding their behavior is essential.

Some platforms remain stationary and provide reliable places to land. Others move across the screen, requiring better timing and careful positioning. Breakable platforms can disappear after being touched, meaning you cannot always use them as a long-term safe spot.

As the game becomes more difficult, choosing the right platform becomes more important. The closest platform is not necessarily the best option. Sometimes it is safer to skip one platform and aim for another that provides a better position for your next jump.
