A presentation at NG-MY in in Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia by Erin Zimmer
Many of us eagerly awaited the release of Angular 2. We updated our apps to Angular 1.6. We wrote components. And, when the time came, we wrapped our apps in ng-upgrade, and everything worked fine, and we all started writing Angular 2. We were all happy.
But what about everyone else? What about the people who are still running Angular 1.4? In ES5? With… JSPs? Fear not! There absolutely is hope. Using a real app as an example, we’re going to take a look at the steps involved in preparing your app, the actual upgrade process, and strategies for improving the app in the future. We’re going to take that dusty old Maven app and turn it into a shining example of modern web development!
