Eastern cultures are relatively less out-spoken than our Western counterparts. This indvertently leads to a dearth of perspectives that reflect our contexts, experiences and values.
This lightning talk highlights instances when a lack of diverse perspectives in tech resulted in products that only served a narrow group of people well.
Hopefully this will encourage people from traditionally less out-spoken cultures to tell their stories and share their perspectives more often as a step to correct the imbalance.
