How CSS evolves, a look back at 2 years of CSS grid

A presentation at Devfest & Bizfest Georgetown 2019 in in George Town, Penang, Malaysia by Chen Hui Jing

Grid has lived up to the hype and since its release in 2017, it has been increasingly used in production, from personal sites to big name organisations like the New York Times, Sony and slate.com. Even though Grid allowed us to do many things with an ease that was not possible before, there was still room for improvement. With evergreen browsers and an improved feedback cycle, the manner in which CSS is developed and implemented has changed over the past 2 decades. With Grid as the main example, I hope to shed some light on the development of CSS and encourage participation from developers and you and I in the process.
