A presentation at Product Storytelling by Mr Murphy
Picking up where my Paint a Product Picture slidedeck left off, this presentation explores the importance of sharing your process as an integral part of your product storytelling.
Whatever you do – be it physical or digital – you have a special kind of magic. Sharing your magic with your customers (muggles) is an essential part of your product storytelling. It helps to paint a picture of the product you’re selling.
In this short presentation, I further explore the art of product storytelling, a critical consideration when selling products online. In particular, I focus on the work of Blok Knives, Ben Edmonds’ beautiful studio for bespoke kitchen knives nestled in the heart of Derbyshire.
Edmonds’ not only shares pictures aplenty of his wonderful finished knives, but – equally importantly – he shares behind the scenes, offering a glimpse of his working methods. The result? There’s a four month waiting list to purchase a bespoke Blok knife.
Impressive, I’m sure you’ll agree.
These materials aren’t associated with an event, they’re designed as supplementary learning materials for my digital school designtrack, which will be launching in 2020.
Sorry, Notist, but I’m hacking my account so I can share these files using your lovely interface.
