I Took Your Idea and I Made It Better: Design Principles for Non-Designers

A presentation at Abstractions II in in Pittsburgh, PA, USA by Bridget Reed

Through my post-design-school years, while working both with developers and as a developer myself, I’ve always gotten the same question: “So why does that look better than this?” By the end of this talk, you should be able to discuss the C.R.A.P. (contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity) design principles, be able to justify last-minute design decisions, and see the worlds of design, user-experience, and accessibility differently in order to become stronger in your role.
