A presentation at Community Chat Summit by Mary Thengvall
We’re told on a regular basis to monitor the size, engagement, and overall health of your community, with the ever-present threat of your boss not understanding the value of what you’re doing. But how often do we pay this same attention to our own physical and mental health?
Our wellbeing is impacted by prolonged mental stressors and unrealistic expectations, and in a world where we’re dealing with pandemics and protests in addition to the normal day-to-day worries, it’s even more important than usual to be conscious of burnout. In this talk, Mary walks through how to identify burnout in yourself as well as your employees and community members, as well as steps that can be taken to prevent burnout entirely.
