Lessons learned from our use case • Ethereum is fancy but more expensive and slower o ETH: o CELO: 10-100 EUR, ~0.0005 EUR, duration: minutes duration: seconds • Many “sales” materials online – but few good developer resources • Dynamic area (prices, deprecated testnets, new Blockchains)

During the last few years, NFTs (non-fungible tokens) exploded in popularity. Regularly we have been seeing articles about these “weird image files” being sold for millions of dollars… And in IT we copy files every day… So it is about time to cash in (smiley)?
In this talk, we will make a small “heist” of an NFT. But in order for our mission to be successful, we would first need to do our research, i.e. understand more about NFTs, how they are different from Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, how blockchain protects them, and so on. Once the heist is done, we would switch to something more creative and learn how an NFT is minted. Finally, we will go over some of the applications, problems, and criticism facing this emerging technology.
