Service Oriented Architecture … with the IBM SOA stack

A presentation at Muffin Conference Sofia in in Sofia, Bulgaria by Petyo Dimitrov

In this topic, we would look into the basic characteristics of Service Oriented Architecture and highlight its applicability in large enterprise environments. We would also see how an Enterprise Service Bus can be used for implementing and organizing the communication between separate heterogeneous services in our SOA. Once basic services are defined, we would see how we can design and implement more complex orchestration of them that correspond to a particular business process in the organization via BPMN2. All these features of SOA would be demonstrated with a proof-of-concept solution for employee recruitment using IBM Business Process Manager 8 and IBM Enterprise Service Bus 8. Finally, we would see what additional features are offered by the IBM SOA stack to interact, monitor, extend and debug the solution in IBM Process Center.
